Questions we get a lot
When do you come plow?
Once snowfall reaches 4 to 6 inches. You don't need to call. Your driveway is on the route and we come automatically.
How fast will I be plowed out after a storm?
As soon as we reasonably can. The order of the route depends on the storm, road conditions and where we are, so we can't promise a set time. In a long storm we may make more than one pass.
Do you shovel walkways or porches?
No. We plow from the truck only: driveways, private roads and parking areas. We don't clear sidewalks, walkways, stairs, decks or entries.
Do you salt or sand?
No. We don't apply salt, sand or ice melt, so plowed surfaces can stay slick. Ice control is up to the owner.
My driveway is gravel. Will you tear it up?
We plow gravel with the shoes down and leave a thin packed layer instead of scraping to the dirt, which keeps your gravel in place. Some displacement over a winter is normal.
What do I need to do before the first storm?
Keep the driveway clear of cars and other obstacles, and mark anything that could get buried: landscaping edges, culverts, septic lids, reflectors. We'll agree on where the snow gets stacked.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry commercial general liability insurance for snow removal and can send a certificate on request.
How do I pay?
We send invoices by email and you can pay online by credit card or bank transfer.
